Thank you for a wonderful Spring Fling!

CheckYourGenes would like to thank everyone for all their hard work in making our first Spring Fling a huge success!  Over 400 people attended the event and raised over $67,000 for CheckYourGenes!!  Read more to discover what we can now accomplish through the amazing efforts of our sponsors, volunteers, and contributors.

Special moments from that evening include the announcement of the $20,000 anonymous donation, the surprised face of the winner of the “Luxury Under Lock” and the cash donation from the 12 year old who did his own fund-raising.

Future Plans

To continue our awareness campaign, we have purchased several radio spots.  We plan to run 30-second spots on both WOFX (92.5) and WNNF (94.1) with a total of six weeks on air: 3 weeks on then 2 weeks off then another 3 weeks, beginning July 14th.  You will also see some commercials appearing on Insight Cable of Northern Kentucky. 

We will continue to pursue additional funding through various grant opportunities to further accomplish our mission of educating the public on the need for genetic testing if an individual has a significant family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer.
